The Apple AirPods Pro 3 are Apple’s latest generation of premium
in-ear wireless earbuds, powered by the H3 chip. This chip analyses
the surrounding environment 96,000 times per second — twice as fast
as the previous generation — allowing Active Noise Cancellation to
adapt in real time to changes like wind, traffic, or crowd noise.
Apple states the AirPods Pro 3 remove up to 4x more unwanted noise
compared to the original AirPods Pro.
Audio is delivered through a completely redesigned acoustic
architecture, including a multiport system with an inward-facing
microphone pointed directly into the ear canal. This design, paired
with a custom-built driver and amplifier, is intended to deliver
deeper bass, clearer vocals, and a wider soundstage. The earbuds
also support LC3plus lossless audio, offering CD-quality sound
wirelessly.
Build quality includes five ear tip size options, including a new
XXS size, each combining a soft foam layer with a silicone shell
for improved comfort and acoustic seal. The AirPods Pro 3 combine
Active Noise Cancellation with an upgraded Transparency mode,
intelligently adapting to prioritise voices and important sounds
around the wearer.
Additional features include a scientifically validated Hearing
Test, a Hearing Aid feature with automatic Conversation Boost, and
Hearing Protection to reduce exposure to loud environmental noise.
The AirPods Pro 3 also support Personalised Volume, which uses
machine learning to adapt sound preferences over time based on
listening habits.
